meter tag in html5 with example

  1. The HTML <meter> tag is used for indicating a scalar measurement within a known range, or a fractional value.
  2. It is important to note that the <meter> element is used to represent a range. It is not appropriate to use this element for representing a single number (such as how many children someone has) unless there is a known maximum number.
  3. Examples: Disk usage, the relevance of a query result, etc.
  4. The <meter> tag is supported in all major browsers, except Internet Explorer and Safari.

Example 1 :

<html>
    <head><title>mark tag in html5</title>
    </head>
    <body>
        <ul>
            <li>Volume : <meter value="2" max="10">20%</meter></li>
            <li>Bass : <meter value="50" max="100">50 %</meter></li>
            <li>Treble : <meter value="70" max="100">75 %</meter></li>
